Sandy Froman, President
Sandra S. (“Sandy”) Froman is an attorney in Tucson, Arizona whose practice includes business, contract and employment litigation, as well as mediation and arbitration. She is recognized in the national publication Best Lawyers in America and was voted “Best Lawyer of the Year for Employment Law –Management” in Tucson, Arizona. Froman received her undergraduate degree in economics with honors from Stanford University and her juris doctor degree from Harvard Law School. As Vice President of the Mzuri Wildlife Foundation, Froman believes the work of the Foundation is vital to keeping alive the proud American heritage of hunting and has a particular interest in continuing to grow the number of women involved in the shooting sports.
Arnold Goldschlager, M.D., Vice President
Arnie’s medical career as a cardiologist has spanned nearly 50 years. It has included pioneering Civil Aviation Medical Air Transport as founder of Air Ambulance Services in California and Hawaii as well as active duty as an Air Force Physician during the Vietnam War. In addition to his work, his passion has been bird hunting and worldwide big game hunting, a sport that has taken him to five continents. He states, "I consider conservation and education to be a prime responsibility of hunters … being on the Board of Mzuri Wildlife Foundation allows me to give back to the sport I love so much and to promote my interests of conservation, education and recruitment of women and girls into the shooting sports.” Arnie’s civic involvement has also included service on boards of Safari Club International, Mzuri Safari Club and the Rich Island Duck Club among others. He is actively involved on the Oncology Board of the Mills-Peninsula Medical Foundation and the Tinsley Island Board of the St. Francis Yacht Club. He lives with his wife, Nora, in Burlingame, California.
Cyndi Flannigan, Secretary/Treasurer
Cynthia “Cyndi” Flannigan is the Executive Director of the Youth Shooting Sports Alliance. Over the past 40 plus years, Cyndi has held many positions within the shooting sports industry. Her love of the sport focuses her attention and commitment to its future. Cyndi has been dedicated to and involved in the preservation and protection of our natural resources for most of her life. She views Mzuri Wildlife Foundation as a conduit for her life-long conservation efforts. When discussing Mzuri, she states that she is “proud to be associated with such a dedicated group of professionals.”
2020 Board Members
M. Kevin Destruel
M. Kevin Destruel is co-owner of Mead Clark Lumber Company, a third-generation family-owned business in Sonoma County, where he has worked since graduating from UC Berkeley. His dedication to wildlife conservation results from his love of the outdoors and his passion for hunting. "I just wanted to see more put back in than was ever taken out," he explains. Kevin’s godfather, Jim Codding, was the first president of Mzuri Wildlife Foundation. Kevin has continued this legacy, serving multiple terms as the Foundation’s board president. Kevin was recently selected as the 2020 Steven E. Nelson Sportsman of the Year, an award which recognizes a lifetime of achievement in international hunting and conservation. He and his wife, Karen, share a home in Texas.
Glennon T. Gingo
Glennon has been a broker in the Hawaii commercial real estate industry for more than a decade. He also serves as a consultant for aquatics training programs including SCUBA diving instruction, freediving, lifeguarding, and first aid. Glennon has served as a volunteer with many community-based organizations and is dedicated to firearm safety and education. An avid outdoorsman, Glennon has hunted and fished for most of his life. He strongly believes that conservation and hunting go hand-in-hand with protecting our natural resources. He is dedicated to engaging youth in the out-of-doors and ensuring that future generations have the same opportunities that he has had.
John A. Kamps
John is CEO and owner of Kamps Propane. He attended Georgia Institute of Technology before founding his company in 1969. John grew up hunting pheasant, duck and deer with his father in California. His love of hunting has taken him to every continent where he has seen first-hand the many issues that local community members face in their daily lives. He joined Mzuri to make a difference in the best way possible. In his words, “I’ve been involved in Mzuri for many years because of the hands-on projects they support. They have been very involved in African anti-poaching efforts as well as programs that teach agricultural skills to local villagers. They train youth in outdoor activities involving wildlife, fun and the shooting sports. There just aren’t many organizations like Mzuri.” John is also active with Safari Club International, Ducks Unlimited and the National Rifle Association. He and his wife, Jillian, live in Stockton, California.
Suzanne J. Edwards
A regular student of Gunsite Academy in Arizona, she knows firsthand how empowering it is to learn how to safely handle guns and be able to protect oneself should the need arise. A life member of the NRA, she is a member of the NRA Ring of Freedom and the NRA Women’s Leadership Forum Council as well as the CA Rifle and Pistol Association. She and her husband Hammond Edwards are members of Wing & Barrel in Sonoma, where they shoot sporting clays regularly.
